The 10th Annual Vines & Vices wine tasting event took place on Thursday, September 20th at the Franciscan Center at Lourdes College. The event was attended by over 450 people and raised over $16,000 – enough to grant the wishes of three local children!

Over 66 different wines were available for tasting that evening with wines from the west coast as well as international wines from Australia, Argentina, Chili, Italy, Spain and South Africa. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts from Carrabba’s Italian Grill were tasty once again this year and a wonderful compliment to the wine served!

The Lori LeFevre Johnson jazz trio entertained, and there were many vices on display from local vendors and artisans. We’d like to thank our vendors: A Studio, ChrisAnne’s Caramels, -e- designs, Flying Rhino Coffee, Giggle Home Furnishings, Grill Daddy’s, Lady C, Meig, and Twigs Flowers & Gifts. 20% of their sales that evening were donated to our Foundation.

Pamela Rose auctioned off a VIP Tour & Tasting Trip to Napa Valley that sold for $2,200 and also hosted a live Grant-A-Wish auction which raised over $1500. Pamela Rose Auction Company is a loyal supporter of our Foundation and our auctions would not be successful without her and her wonderful staff.

Wish Mom Holly and her husband Jason spoke about their daughter Haley’s wish to go to Disney World while Haley, too shy to speak to a crowd that large, looked on wearing her pretty pink princess crown. Sharing the story about Haley’s illness and the experience of her wish was a special experience for the guests at Vines & Vices. It gave everyone in attendance the opportunity to share the power of a wish®.
